Jette Parker Young Artist Summer Performance

After a long season I have finally started my last project, which is our Jette Parker Young Artist Summer Performance.  We are doing scenes from Rossini, Offenbach, Britten and Donizetti and our wonderful director Rodula Gaitanou is busy in rehearsal putting together a spectacle.  I posted the details in my last blog, but if any of you would like to purchase tickets, follow this link.

The last month has been filled with Peter Grimes which was a wonderful production.  I was singing along side Ben Heppner, Amanda Roocroft, Jonathan Summers, Catherine Wyn-Rogers, Jane Henschel and Roderick Williams to name quite a few! It has been a wonderful experience working with so many established singers passing on their wealth of knowledge. We only had 5 shows but we made the most of it, we had some rather big technical hitches during the first and last performance which upped the stakes for us and brought out our creative talent.  It is funny when these things happen on the stage as most of the time the audience is not aware of the problem and we go into spontaneous mode.  Fun but can be scary! Along with this my First Niece Rebecca Bottone was unwell for two of the shows, so her understudy Katie Batho took her place and did a wonderful job.  As soon as you relax in the theatre, it gives you something to put you on your toes. A wonderful show, you can see the reviews on the reviews page.
